Frequently Asked Questions About the Class
Will we need to share our personal problems or issues with the class? No, sharing personal issues publicly is not required. All Couples Exercises are completed privately.
Is it necessary for both partners to attend, or can I come alone? Both partners should attend, as the class involves joint exercises. If one partner must miss a session, the other is encouraged to attend the lecture portion. The attending partner can complete part of the exercises alone and then do the full exercise with their partner later. They can also use this time to read the Seven Principles book.
What if my partner isn't a reader? Can we still participate? Yes, you can still join the class. While reading the book is beneficial, the class lectures will cover its key content. However, each person will need a Couples Guide to effectively complete the Couples Exercises.
Should we complete the exercises at home or wait until class? Some exercises will be done in class, so doing them beforehand might lead to repetition. Directions for some exercises may differ from the book, and the Leaders will role-play how to perform them. Additionally, some exercises may not be covered in class, so couples are encouraged to complete these at home after their related chapter has been discussed.
